FAMILY TREASURES LOST and FOUND California Film Premiere
How do you search the silence that muffles family stories when those who knew what happened are gone? Family Treasures tells a riveting story of survival, loss, and love. This documentary is not only a WWII survivor story but a second-generation sleuthing adventure to uncover family mysteries.
Director Marcia Rock, a four-time Emmy Award winning documentarian will discuss the screening, joined via zoom by the film’s co-producer, journalist and book author, Karen A. Frankel.
Frankel channels the driving forces of discovery to investigate her parents’ unspoken stories. Her research leads to astonishing revelations about their incredible journeys through Europe, Cuba, Mexico, and New York. These discoveries shed light on the hidden truths surrounding the tragic losses during the Holocaust. By documenting histories, their riveting stories of survival, luck, and loss have the power to captivate viewers of all generations and serve as an inspiration for many to delve into their own family histories.
