More information about the talk:
People are living longer than ever, but the big question is: is their retirement savings enough? Marina will cover the options available to older homeowners who would like to access their home equity for increased cash flow, health care costs, or home improvements to age in place. She will discuss the differences between and pros and cons of Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) and Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM) and proprietary (aka “jumbo”) reverse mortgages. Her goal is to educate older homeowners on their options and take the mystery out of reverse mortgages and home equity lines of credit. In her informative PowerPoint presentation, Marina Watts will share valuable current information for attendees that includes:
· How can homeowners age 55 and over improve their retirement and quality of life by obtaining a FHA Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) or a proprietary Jumbo Reverse Mortgage?
· What are the pros and cons of a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) or a Jumbo Reverse Mortgage?
· What are the differences between a Home Equity Line of Credit and a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage?
· Who qualifies for a Reverse Mortgage and how much money can you get?
· How do these loans help improve cash flow during retirement?
· Are there any restrictions in using these funds for health care costs, home improvements and more?
· How will these loans affect adult children and other heirs?
