Carmel Public Library Foundation hosts “Timeless Treasures: Honoring Cultural Heritage through Architectural Preservation” with Kent Seavey and Seth Bergstein on Wednesday, January 22nd at Carpenter Hall

Please join the Carmel Public Library Foundation as part of Their Henry Meade Williams Local Lecture Series as they host “Timeless Treasures: Honoring Cultural Heritage through Architectural Preservation” with Kent Seavey and Seth Bergstein on Wednesday, January 22nd at 7:00pm.

The eclectic Architecture of Carmel-by-the-Sea is as distinctive and memorable as its many other attractions. From the cottages of early builder Hugh Comstock to stone structures such as poet Robinson Jeffers’ Tor House, Carmel’s rich architectural tradition is part of its legacy and charm. Landmark Buildings such as the Pine Inn and Harrison Memorial Library serve as reminders of the City’s Cultural History and preserving them maintains a sense of permanency and heritage.

In addition to being part of the community’s tangible past, these Historic Buildings offer opportunities for its future. Join Architectural Historians Kent Seavey and Seth Bergstein as they discuss the Landmark Buildings of Carmel and the importance of Historic Preservation to maintain community character for future generations. Artifacts from the collection of the Henry Meade Williams Local History Room at the Carmel Public Library will be on exhibit.

The Henry Meade Williams Local History Lecture Series is sponsored by the Frank & Eva Buck Foundation and Robert & Lacy Buck.

REGISTER NOW! Attend in Person (limited seating) or Online (Registration is required).
