Interested Volunteers Webinar for Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary

Interested Volunteers Webinar for Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary

The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Exploration Center in Santa Cruz is seeking new volunteer docents to join our team this spring.

Our docents serve as ambassadors for NOAA’s Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, helping connect the public to the incredible marine environment just offshore. Volunteers interpret exhibits at the Sanctuary Exploration Center, direct visitors to nearby points of interest, staff the front desk and information table, lead tours and school groups, assist with community events and program development, and build connections with local marine science agencies. Above all, our docents provide excellent customer service while inspiring ocean stewardship in visitors of all ages. Docents typically commit to one 3.25 hours shift once per week.

We will be hosting a virtual Volunteer Information Webinar on February 25th at 6:00 PM for anyone interested in learning more about this opportunity.
