Celebrate Asian American Heritage Month by learning about Korea!

Join SCPL as the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project lead us on a Lotus Flower Lantern Craft workshop. A member of the group will guide us through step-by-step instructions to make a lovely lotus flower lantern using colored paper and wire frames.

The number of craft kits available are limited, therefore registration is required.

The program includes an introduction to the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project and a discussion of the cultural and religious meaning of the lotus flower in Korea, including Korea’s Lantern Festival. Next, we’ll make lanterns together, following the easy step-by-step instructions.

This program is geared toward teens and adults, and is suitable for ages 10 and above. Kids under 10 can attend when accompanied by adults.
