Celebrate Ms. Blue’s return to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center with a day of ocean discovery, hands-on activities, and family fun!
Scientists will show how they restored the regal 87-foot-long blue whale skeleton known as Ms. Blue, and invite kids and their families to make their own bone reconstructions. Explore the science, technology, and craftsmanship behind Ms. Blue’s reconstruction, and discover the research and conservation efforts happening at the Center today. Plus, enjoy food, local makers, puppets, and more throughout the day - now known as “Ms. Blue Day” by the City of Santa Cruz!
