About Sea Root

Sea Root emphasizes the origins of the ancient spice trade that once brought together the diverse cultures of the Mediterranean. Connecting both people and place, the sea was just as important to the ancient Phoenicians who traded along the Mediterranean as it to our people of Monterey today. Sea Root celebrates flavors of the spice trade as well as the bounty of the Pacific Coast that one can expect at the restaurant. Sea Root, highlighting Monterey’s bounty along with a rich medley of coastal Mediterranean-inspired dishes such pan seared pacific halibut, seared scallop sofrito, and feta fig toast—all paired with Monterey County wines.
