Carmel/Salinas CA – Monterey Symphony returns to the Forest Theater in Carmel and Sherwood Hall in Salinas this September for an evening of beloved movie tunes. Continuing with their Love Letter Pops concerts, the Monterey Symphony pays tribute to Hollywood with music from Coco, Star Wars, Pink Panther, Cinema Paradiso and much more. The Symphony, led by Associate Conductor Brad Hogarth, will present two outdoor pops concerts at the Forest Theater in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA on September 5th and 6th, both at 6:30 PM, and returns to Sherwood Hall in Salinas, CA for the first time since 2018 on September 7th at 7:00 PM.

“We’re so excited to present our third year of concerts at Forest Theater and our return to Sherwood Hall with this fun and engaging program,” say Nicola Reilly, President and CEO. “We’d love to see everyone come out in their best costumes from any of the fabulous movies featured – it will be simply magical.”

These 90-minute performances include an intermission, are family friendly, and full of surprises. Patrons are encouraged to come dressed in costumes from the featured movies. Prizes will be given for costume.

SHERWOOD HALL INFO: Tickets are FREE for anyone 18 and under, $25 for adults and $12 for students over 18, teachers and active -duty military with I.D. Concert presentation will be bilingual (Spanish/English).

FOREST THEATER INFO: Tickets at the Forest Theater are $57* for general admission. Students, teachers, and active-duty military are $12* with I.D. (*includes Forest Theater facility use fee). Patrons are encouraged to arrive early and use the drop-off zone for guests and items, bring a blanket or cushion to sit on, and make it a party by bringing their own food and drinks (including alcohol) to be enjoyed at their seats. Concerts are outdoors and concessions will be available.
