Sanctuary Exploration Center Docent Training

Sanctuary Exploration Center Docent Training

Join the interpretive docent team at the Sanctuary Exploration Center and help inspire stewardship for our ocean! Docents greet visitors, interpret our interactive exhibits to the public, support events and school programs, and help us inspire a meaningful connection to our sanctuary and marine science. This multi-week training will provide in depth knowledge about NOAA's Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary led by expert speakers, as well as opportunities to build your skills in science communication. Volunteer docents gain access to specialty field trips and presentations, discounts in our gift store, and invitation to annual celebration events. Come join a community of dedicated science communicators and ocean lovers!

Training starts April 7th and runs every Tuesday through May 12th. For more information and to apply, email the Center's Volunteer Coordinator, Juliette Levy, at juliette.levy@noaa.gov
