Saturday, October 29th // 7:30pm // Bonny June and Bonfire -- Halloween Show and CD Release Party // The Kuumbwa, Center Street, Santa Cruz

→ Bonny June and Bonfire have been playing Santa Cruz venues together since 2012. Bonny’s original songs tell wild and beautiful stories, brought to life with stellar harmonies and performances by guitarist Ken Kraft (White Album Ensemble) and bassist Craig Owens (Lacy J. Dalton) of Snail Band Fame. In addition to the Halloween “Party” Theme as they go go batty transforming their songs into spooky and hilarious tributes to their favorite season, the evening also will celebrate the release of Bonfire’s brand new Halloween album, including original tunes such as “Annabel Lee”, “Rattlin’ Bones” and “You Can Be a Zombie Too”.

Friday, November 11th // 7:30pm // Nanci Griffith Tribute and Benefit // The Kuumbwa, Center Street, Santa Cruz

→ The music of Nanci Griffith will be performed by a number of very talented Artists including Ginny Mitchell, Lisa Thompson, Eliza James, Patti Maxine, Diana Donnelly, Bonny June, Lindsey Wall, Alison Steele, Christie McCarthy, Sunshine Jackson, Lizzy Smith (plus more Artists to be accounced!). The evening performance will be a benefit for Yuji Tojo, a beloved local musician who lost his home in the CZU fire.

Snazzy Productions was created over three decades ago by Sleepy John Sandidge, who felt Santa Cruz needed alternative music concerts. With his long history as an on-air radio personality, and his experience as a stage manager for some of the area’s largest concerts (including Willie Nelson and the Grateful Dead), Sleepy John formed Snazzy Productions.

Since its inception, Snazzy Productions has produced over 700 events with artists as diverse as Jesse Winchester, The Persuasions, Norton Buffalo, and Bo Diddley. John has brought many new exciting performers to the Santa Cruz Monterey Bay California area. In the process he has helped developing music artists in and around Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay regions to become recognized leaders in their unique styles of musical performance.
