The Carmel Foundation Celebrates Student Artists with Impressionist Painting for Everyone Student Art Show
The Carmel Foundation invites the community to celebrate the creativity of 16 local artists at the Impressionist Painting for Everyone Student Art Show on Saturday, September 12, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Seideneck Room. The event is free and open to the public.
The exhibition is the culmination of Impressionist Painting for Everyone, a five-class series taught by professional artist and educator Diane Crago. Designed for beginners and experienced painters alike, the course explores classic Impressionist techniques using acrylics or non-toxic oils, with students learning to work with brushes, palette knives and bold color while developing their individual artistic styles.
Several participating students also exhibit their work in cooperative galleries throughout the Monterey area. Visitors are invited to meet the artists, view and purchase their work, and enjoy refreshments at a reception hosted by Crago. The event is open to the public.
