MPQG was founded in 1979; we have over 200 members. Our quilters are not only artists, but very generous givers. Over the years the guild has donated hundreds of quilts to those in need, including victims of natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Soberanes fire. Just last month MPQG provided over 75 quilts to the victims of the January fires in Southern California. We have an ongoing campaign to provide twin bed quilts to the Shuman HeartHouse so that every bed had a lovingly made quilt and we make regular, ongoing donations to several local community organizations including local NICU units, renal care patients, breast cancer patients, and many other charity needs. Last year our guild donated over 930 items to local charities. We are a 501c.3 non-profit organization. For more information about MPQG, go to: www.mpqg.org
