Tor House Annual Fall Festival -- October 13th through October 15th
This year’s Annual Robinson Jeffers Tor House Foundation’s Fall Festival takes place from October 13th through the 15th.
The Friday Sunset Celebration takes place at Tor House on Friday, October 13th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm located at 26304 Ocean View Avenue in Carmel. Highlights include wine, refreshments, a poetry reading, bird watching and music by pianists Melinda Coffey Armstead and Barbara Ruzicka, and Youth Music Monterey County. Admission is $25.00.
The Program on Saturday, October 14th takes place at the Carmel Woman’s Club from 9:00am to 3:15pm located at San Carlos and 9th in Carmel. Highlights include the world premiere of the audio of Jeffers reading his talk at the Library of Congress and Taelen Thomas reading from Robert Frost’s unpublished comments at the Library of Congress on the same theme.
The Saturday Evening Reception and Dinner takes place at the Monterey Conference Center located at 1 Portola Plaza, Monterey) from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Highlights include live music by the Youth Music Monterey and Keynote Speaker, Elliot Ruchowitz-Roberts, President of Tor House Foundation, Tour Docent, and Poet.
The events on Sunday, October 15th include a Poetry Walk at 9:00am along Carmel River Beach and a Memorial Service for Rob Kafka, East Wing of Tor House at 1:00pm.
