Spanning 70 studios and exhibition spaces, and featuring more than one hundred artists, Arts Habitat has coordinated a regional art exhibition across Monterey County for the public to enjoy. Bringing together art and the community provides inspiration and education; features the talent of nearby artists; and is supported by local businesses, wineries, and restaurants to fuel the local economy. The Monterey County Artists Studio Tour includes two Saturdays and Sundays, October 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2021, from 11:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. Artists across the county from Pacific Grove, Monterey, Carmel Valley, Salinas, and North Monterey are partnering with Arts Habitat to showcase their masterpieces or even commission new ones. From ceramics to paintings, photography to jewelry—and everything in between—the public is invited to stroll the studios, enjoy the art, and buy works directly from the artist. Thanks to the work of Arts Habitat, this Artists Studio Tour is in its 29th year and growing. Arts Habitat was created 30 years ago to advocate for low-cost, live/work and day-use studio space at East Garrison. Their goal is also to raise awareness of the value of art, showcase artists in the community, and enrich the community’s experience through art and artmaking. This unique approach to creative presentation draws attendees from local cities, tourists from around the state; and builds art awareness while simultaneously promoting the ingenuity and talent of the local art community.
