Come hear about Camp Joy’s past, present, and possible future from one of its founders, Beth Benjamin. Camp Joy is a small non-profit organic farm outside Boulder Creek that was founded in 1971. It has been cultivating flowers, vegetables, gardening enthusiasts and seasonal apprentices since then. Camp Joy has survived fire, drought, and the pandemic and continues to offer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscriptions, an annual wreath sale, and a big plant sale on Mothers Day weekend.

Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses, that's for sure! In the hilarious hit musical that's anything but Grimm, the storybook heroines you think you know are none-too-happy with the way their stories have been told. So, they've tossed their tiaras and come to our stage to set the record straight.
This Mother's Day weekend, leave the little ones at home and come to Sunset Center to see the critically acclaimed new musical, Disenchanted!
This show is intended for audiences 18+. Parental discretion is advised.

Tour five gardens in the Santa Cruz area on May 10, the Saturday before Mother’s DayIn Scotts Valley, visit a large garden with roses, color flowers, and an orchardIn Santa Cruz:A woodland garden of blooming azaleas and rhododendrons in a grove of redwood treesA wildlife friendly garden surrounding a Victorian house near downtown Santa CruzA garden with a New Zealand flavor and many colorful flowers in Live Oak areaNear the harbor, a colorful patio garden Purchase tickets through Eventbrite.....Tickets are $50 a person or a carload for $120. Parking is limited at some locations, so bring your friends. The entrance fee includes refreshments and a surprise at each garden. Gardens open at 11:00 am and close at 4:00 pm.
The 1st hour will be spent in conversation with a guest speaker, and during the 2nd hour volunteers will read aloud part of the play. During the final session a film will be presented.

Join Santa Cruz Public Libraries and the Crown Programs Office -- Crown College's activities and programming office from UC Santa Cruz -- for an engaging author talk, sci-fi and speculative fiction conversations as part of their annual Social Fiction Conference.
