Congress has passed a bill that would eliminate more than $1 billion in previously approved funding for public media. The President will sign it into law. This will cut essential federal support for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) — the nonprofit that helps sustain local public radio and television stations across the country, including KAZU.
