Panetta calls for ICE Facility oversight, Sea stars could help kelp forests recover

Sunflower sea stars, Pycnopodia helianthoides, have not returned to California waters since being nearly wiped out by Sea Star Wasting Syndrome in 2013.

In today's newscast, student-led research at UC Santa Cruz found that sunflower sea stars could help kelp forests recover by scaring away sea urchins. And, Central Coast Congressman Jimmy Panetta is calliing for congressional oversight of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.
