Watsonville expands license plate readers, state bill exempting transit projects from some environmental laws advances

The City of Watsonville will add 17 new automated license plate readers to its streets, bringing the total to 37.

In today's newscast, Watsonville votes to expand a contract with Flock Safety for automated license plate readers. And, a state bill moves to Governor Gavin Newsom's desk that would make CEQA exemptions for certain transit projects permanent.
