Powering wastewater plant with food scraps, uptick in Afghan immigrant arrests by Sacramento ICE agents

Monterey One Water
The Monterey One Water co-digestion program processes food and organic waste into biogas that powers operations at the wastewater treatment plant.

In today's newscast, a $4.2 million grant from Cal Recycles is funding two Monterey One Water projects that support local, renewable energy operations. And, Democratic Congresswoman Doris Matsui of Sacramento spoke at a press conference last week following a spike in arrests of Afghan immigrants in the state capital this month.
