11:45 a.m.
The City of Monterey is reopening the Veteran’s Memorial Park Campground today (June 12). The campground on Skyline Drive off Holman Highway was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Reservations are needed to use the campground.
9:50 a.m.
Monterey County is currently reporting 865 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The county says that's an increase of 51 cases since their last report. Fatalities remain at 11. A total of 81 people have required hospitalization for the coronavirus. There have been 2 new hospital admissions. A total of 534 people have recovered from the virus. 13,616 tests have been conducted.
SANTA CRUZ COUNTY
9:45 a.m.
Santa Cruz County is reporting, as of June 12, 254 known cases of COVID-19. That’s an increase of 2 cases from June 10. Fatalities remain at 2. A total of 34 people have required hospitalization and 199 have recovered from the coronavirus. Negative lab tests have reached 10,816.
