SANTA CRUZ COUNTY

 
7:20 p.m.

Santa Cruz County is reporting, as of June 21, 296 total known cases of COVID-19 with 75 active known cases. Fatalities remain at 2. A total of 219 people have recovered from the coronavirus and 37 have required hospitalization. 13,831 negative test results have been recorded.

MONTEREY COUNTY

7:45 p.m.

The Monterey County Health Department released guidance on “social circles” to allow people to interact with more family and friends in outdoor settings. The county defines social circles as small, stable groups of 12 or fewer people that are part of a household, a group of friends, or a children’s extracurricular activity. County officials say individuals may only participate in one social circle for a four-week period. 

The following is strong encouraged:

  1. Maintain six-foot social/physical distancing from each other;
  2. If 13 years and older, wear face coverings; and
  3. Wash or sanitize hands frequently.

7:10 p.m.
Monterey County is reporting, as of June 21, 1,225 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The county says that’s an increase of 44 cases over a 24 hour period. Fatalities remain at 12. 104 people have required hospitalization for the coronavirus. 739 have recovered. 19,783 tests have been conducted in Monterey County.

CALIFORNIA

6:55 p.m.

California is reporting, as of June 20, 173,824 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 5,495 people have died from the coronavirus. That marks an increase of 71 deaths and 4,515 cases from the day before. Local health departments have reported 13,373 confirmed positive cases in health care workers and 83 deaths statewide. There have been 3,319,25 tests conducted in California.
