A fuel leak Tuesday on a Tokyo-bound Japan Airlines flight forced the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to cancel takeoff and return to the gate at Boston's Logan International Airport. It was the second incident involving a Dreamliner in two days after a small fire on a 787 on Monday.

Deep In Canadian Lakes, Signs Of Tar Sands Pollution
The contaminants researchers found at the bottom of Alberta lakes are from air pollutants coming from tar sands oil production and processing facilities. The pollution wasn't picked up by the industry-funded monitoring program that was supposed to track environmental risks from tar sands over recent decades.

Alcoa's Quarterly Profits Improve From A Year Ago
Alcoa, the biggest aluminum producer in the U.S., has announced it posted a profit of more than $240 million in the last three months of 2012. That's a big improvement from the same quarter the year before when it lost $190 million.

Blanco, a first-generation Cuban-American, says he identifies with the theme of the inauguration: Our People, Our Future. He is the fifth poet to take part in a U.S. presidential inauguration, and also the youngest. He says being selected was a "great honor."

For a little less than $10 each, two tourists paid for a ride down a Russian mountain in an inflatable ball. It went off course, into a ravine and ended up on a frozen lake. One of the men died after his neck was broken. The inventors of the sport want safety rules to be enforced.
