Gov. Newsom is urging the ban of homeless encampments like the San Lorenzo Benchlands in Santa Cruz. The Benchlands flooded in December of 2021.

In today's newscast, U.S. Rep. Jimmy Panetta comments on a House budget bill that would reduce access to services including SNAP benefits, Medicaid and Medicare. And, City of Santa Cruz Homelessness Response Director Larry Imwalle reacts to Gov. Gavin Newsom's push to ban homeless encampments in cities and counties.
