Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Capitola Plein Air and explore the week’s incredible paintings as artists from around the country capture the beauty of Capitola and its surrounding area from November 3rd through November 9th. The week culminates with an artist's Quick Paint competition in the historic Capitola Village on Saturday the 8th. The final judging, art exhibition and sale happen on Sunday, November 9th at the New Brighton Middle School Performing Arts Center.

Quick Paint--Saturday, November 8th, 10am-2pm
Immerse yourself in the beauty of plein air painting as the 40 accomplished 2025 Capitola Plein Air artists take on the challenge of creating an entirely new piece of artwork in just two hours! Enjoy the energy of live music along the waterfront and take part in a free painting activity of your own. When the time is up, take part in the tradition by casting your ballot for the Quick Paint People’s Choice Award.

Art Exhibition & Sale--Sunday, November 9th, 11am-4pm
Feel the energy with live music, dive into hands-on art activities for kids and adults, and be part of the excitement as the awards are announced. Cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award and help crown your favorite, while the $1,000 First Place and Artists’ Choice are revealed. This milestone year is a vibrant celebration of art, creativity, community, and the rich history of Capitola Plein Air.

New for Our 10th Year: Artist Trading Card Scavenger Hunt! ---November 3rd-8th
Celebrate a decade of Capitola Plein Air by exploring the city and discovering the 2025 artists as they paint around town. Collect a trading card from each artist you visit and bring your cards to the exhibition to redeem for prizes! Challenge yourself to find them all and be part of this special anniversary adventure!
