Songs for New World
Songs for New World
This is Jason Robert Brown's professional debut work — the show that first introduced one of Broadway's most celebrated composers (Parade, The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County) to the world. It's a song cycle, not a conventional book musical: a series of complete, self-contained stories about people standing at the edge of a life-altering decision, told through a score that's been produced everywhere from off-Broadway to a celebrated Encores! revival at New York City Center.
