Offered in conjunction with Monterey Makers, this is a series of entry-level workshops aimed at teaching skills in astronomy-relevant hardware like CAD, 3D Printing, Arduino programming, and more.
Come along bi-monthly (usually) on the third Thursday Evening to learn how to make and program devices and gadgets.

Weathertech Raceway and the MIRA Astronomy Club present a free Stargazing Event. This existing & educational event takes place at Laguna Seca Raceway at Hospitality Island in the Lakebed.
Come along to this great dark sky venue and take a look through one of our scopes, or bring your own. We can even offer advice on how to set your up if you’re new to this.
This event is appropriate for children and adults of all ages. For comfort, warm clothing and hot drinks are encouraged. Bring a flashlight (with a red lens). Rain, fog or cloud cover would cancel the event.
Spectators are asked to park on the perimeter of the island. If leaving or arriving during the event, try to keep headlights off the group as much as possible.

Join us for our Native Pizza workshop on August 7th, 2025 from 5-8pm! Monterey Bay’s Indigenous Chef, Christina Lonewolf, will be teaching participants how to cook with local Central Coast ingredients from the past and present. Featuring wild foraged acorn flour from Big Sur for our pizza dough, dandelion pesto, handcrafted cheese from the Carmel Valley Creamery and duck prosciutto from The Meatery.
