Music from Spain and England from the Middle Ages on and Music from the New World and the Netherlands
Road Scholar Early Music Workshops gather renowned faculty for intensive learning. The public is invited to come for free and enjoy the rich and varied talents of their students.
Spain and England, two world powers in the Renaissance, were great patrons of the arts, bequeathing gorgeous music, art, and poetry to the generations that came after them. As we celebrate the Semiquincentennial of the United States, we'll immerse ourselves in the music of Spain and England from the Middles Ages on, as well as music from the New Wolrd and the Netherlands. Follow the the thread from the great Renaissance powers to the countries they colonized, and on to these countries as they gained independence.

If a family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or a related neurocognitive disorder, a caregiver support group can offer you an opportunity to find out more about available community resources, learn from others who are going through similar experiences, and build a support system. Our Salinas caregiver support group meets on the first Wednesday of each month, without a fee. Open to family members. These groups are led by a trained facilitator and will now meet in person at the First Baptist Church.
