Celebrate fall on the campus farm at the annual Harvest Festival, presented by the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology with the Food Systems Working Group, Measure 43, and Life Lab. Activities for all ages include face painting, flower pressing, pumpkin painting, cider pressing, tractor rides, and live music. Enjoy treats from local food trucks, cheer on the apple pie bake-off, meet local organizations, and explore the UCSC Farm.

Admission is $5 for the general public, with cash preferred at the gate. Entry is free for current UC Santa Cruz, Hartnell College, and Cabrillo College students, Friends of the UCSC Farm & Garden members, and children under 12. Please carpool, walk, bike, or take the bus if you can. Pets are not allowed on campus, except service animals.

The UCSC Farm has hilly and uneven terrain with gravel, dirt, and mulched paths. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible. If you require an accommodation or service to fully participate, please email agroecology@ucsc.edu and we will do our best to accommodate.

TIDES & TERROIR
Celebrating the wine, cuisine and community that define Monterey

Friday, October 16 - Saturday, October 17

Tides & Terroir is a two-day celebration of the Monterey coast — its wines, its food, its makers, and the multigenerational farming community that has shaped one of California’s most distinctive food and wine regions. Both days unfold at Asilomar State Beach & Conference Grounds, Monterey’s “Refuge by the Sea.”

Friday evening, October 16 opens with A Coastal Table — a multi-course candlelit dinner in Merrill Hall. Celebrated chefs, from Monterey to Big Sur, bring the coast’s ingredients to one community table, paired with three generational winemaking families: Caraccioli Cellars, Pisoni Family Vineyards, and ROAR Wines.

Saturday, October 17, the celebration moves outside to the Cypress Meadow for Tasting by the Tides — wineries pour next to local chefs, artisan makers, live music, and the Pacific just steps away.

Wine, food & community rooted on the Monterey coast.

Creep Your Way Into Halloween Night at Mission West’s Annual Halloween Party
The pumpkins are carved, the cobwebs are up, and the dead are (allegedly) rising. Mission West invites Santa Cruz’s ghouls, goblins, and glamorous undead to creep their way into Halloween night at its annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 2405 Mission St. Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is a spooky-cheap $10, cash at the door. This is a 21+ event, because some of the libations are even scarier than the costumes.Live music comes courtesy of Space Heater and Batucada Allstars, two acts guaranteed to raise the dead and get them dancing. Between sets, It’s Good To Be Here DJ Crew will keep the party moving, so the dance floor stays haunted well into the night.

No one should haunt on an empty stomach. Three local favorites will be serving up the eats: Sidequest Pizza, El Buen Taco and Lipslide Grindz. Mission West will be pouring its signature libations all night long, while The Green Spot brings the vibes.And finally, bring your best, boldest, and most bone-chilling look for the Costume Contest. Whether you’re a full-blown horror masterpiece or a last-minute bedsheet ghost with a dream, the stage is waiting.
