Join us for a delicious sneak peek at what the Cabrillo Festival has in store for 2025! This in-person event will be held at the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County on their Rooftop Terrace.

Members of the Festival Orchestra, violinists Rita Lee and Charmian Stewart, and cellists Kathleen Balfe and Carlyn Kessler will play solos and duets by composers on the 2025 Festival lineup and will engage with the audience in an intimate and insightful Q&A.

Entry includes:
- solo and chamber music performances by Festival Orchestra musicians
- wine tastings from local winemakers
- specialty hors d'oeuvres from local tastemakers La Posta, Oswald, and David Graham
- great company with the Festival community
- access to a silent auction curated by the Festival Board, benefiting the 2025 Festival lineup

Proceeds from this event will help make our ambitious plans for the Festival's 2025 Colorful and Courageous season possible, including nine Composers-in-Residence, seven guest artists, and four Festival commissions with three world premieres. CARMEL, CA — April 14, 2025 — Beneath the Crystal Sky, a sunset celebration benefiting housing-insecure residents in Monterey County, will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at Woody’s at Del Mesa in Carmel. Hosted by Joining Hands Benefit Shop, this elegant event supports the Nancy J. Jones Housing Insecurities Endowment Fund of Interfaith Outreach of Carmel (IOC).

Tickets are on sale now and are expected to sell out. Raffle tickets are also available in advance at Joining Hands Benefit Shop.

The evening will feature:

A sunset cocktail reception with fine wines and hors d’oeuvres
A gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Tim Wood
A silent and live auction featuring unique experiences and gift packages
An opportunity drawing for exquisite diamond, gold, and amethyst jewelry

As the event nears, each auction item will be featured and tagged on social media to acknowledge donor contributions and increase visibility. Daily posts will run through the event, and a Facebook Event Page is launching this week.

Joining Hands Benefit Shop is a nonprofit that supports essential services in Monterey County through resale fundraising. Proceeds from this event will benefit Interfaith Outreach of Carmel, an organization dedicated to providing compassionate outreach, housing support, and vital aid to those most in need.

Sponsorship opportunities are currently available. Sponsors will receive recognition online, in event materials, and on-site, reinforcing their commitment to meaningful change in the community.
