California's aerial firefighting fleet gets an upgrade, two beach advisories in Monterey County

Advisories at two beaches in Monterey County were issued during the week of July 28th, 2025 due to elevated bacteria levels.

In today's newscast, California's civilian firefighting fleet became the largest in the world after the delivery of 2 Fire Hawk helicopters to Sacramento on Thursday. And, water contact advisories were posted at Pacific Grove and Monterey Municipal Beach this week after sampling revealed elevated bacteria levels.
