Santa Cruz Union to vote on strike authorization, legal help for unaccompanied immigrant youth

City of Santa Cruz employees represented by the union SEIU 521, including workers in the Santa Cruz Public Libraries system, say the city has mishandled physical and sexual harassment incidents against staff, among other grievances.

In today's newscast, City of Santa Cruz employees represented by union SEIU 521 hold a strike authorization vote. And, a new California law will ensure immigrant youth going through immigration court have access to legal counsel when facing deportation.
