Salinas care workers rally for safe staffing, California urges measles vaccination

About 50 workers rallied outside Katherine Healthcare in Salinas on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. SEIU Local 2015, which represents them, says the nursing home is among some employers that are stalling the statewide contract.

In today's newscast, care workers represented by Service Employees International Union Local 2015, rallied outside of a Salinas nursing home as statewide contract talks come to a close. And, the California Department of Public Health is urging people to  get vaccinated against measles.
