  • LaToya Dennis joined WUWM in October 2006 as a reporter / producer. LaToya began her career in public radio as a part-time reporter for WKAR AM/FM in East Lansing, Michigan. She worked as general assignment reporter for WKAR for one and a half years while working toward a master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University. Born and raised in Napa, California, she moved to the Monterey area in 2002 and attended CSU Monterey Bay where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology & Policy. While working at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Noel received recognition from the Monterey County Hospitality Association in 2012 as a Papa Vince Award finalist. In 2014 Noel received the Green Tree Award for her conservation efforts from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Noel is excited to return to the inclusive community at her alma mater (CSU Monterey Bay) and as an ardent fan of public radio, she is thrilled to be able to support KAZU and its listeners, members and volunteers.
