After “Get Back” - The Last Year in the Life of The Beatles

Broadcast: July 31, 2022 at 4:00 p.m

The year after The Beatles "Get Back" sessions and famous rooftop concert is explored chronologically by hosts Paul Ingles and Harry Norton who take listeners on a month by month journey from the end of January 1969 to the April 1970 official break up of The Beatles. In that time, the Beatles face legal disputes between each other, solo endeavors, and pull together to make their last recordings that come out as ABBEY ROAD.

The program is a follow up to the Peter Jackson three part film documentary THE BEATLES "GET BACK", in that this special answers fans' questions about "What happened after the Beatles rooftop concert that ended the Jackson film?"

Commentary comes from writers Steve Turner, Anthony DeCurtis, Mikal Gilmore, Richie Unterberger, Greg Kot, and Ann Powers, and musicians Shawn Colvin, Richard Goldman, Jon Spurney, and David Gans.
